One way I’m currently serving is my role as Vice President on the Advisory Board for the Portland Metro Association Realtors® Young Professionals Network (YPN). This year, two colleagues and I were tasked with reformatting our sponsorship package. We accomplished it. Now our goal is to establish the most effective and value-driven YPN in the nation. We have a solid core, and I know we’ll do it.
I've been in constant communication with the Portland Metropolitan Area Realtors®’ Chief Operating Officer, Michele Holen, and the YPN's President, Lindsey Culver, about helping restructure our network. We've also created a plan to restructure our board according to the guidelines of the National Association of Realtors®.
I'm also currently involved in the Portland Metropolitan Area Realtors®’ Masters Circle as Director at Large on the Advisory Board. We organize events throughout the year. For example, we put on an event every year for Northwest Children’s Outreach. Currently we are organizing for Barbara Corcoran (star of Shark Tank, and a former Realtor®) to speak at one of our events.
I’ve also become highly motivated to get our entire brokerage involved in the Realtors® Political Action Committee. I recently became a RPAC Gold investor. Eventually, I hope to join the President’s Circle and the Hall of Fame. I have also taken the YPN Pledge, and I’ve encouraged all of our agents to take it as well. All have agreed to do so. I wish I would have known about the association and gotten involved earlier in my career.
